Advanced Silicone Scar Care

Advanced Silicone Care-
Designed for Scar Management

Eska Med® silicone scar gel and silicone scar sheets are designed for non-invasive scar management after the skin has fully healed. They help maintain skin hydration and support the natural maturation of scar tissue.

Two Ways to Care for Scars

Choose the format that fits your routine. Silicone scar sheets provide longer-lasting contact with the skin and can be washed and reused. Silicone gel is easy to apply to areas where a sheet may be difficult to place. Some users combine both formats as part of their scar-care routine.

How Silicone Supports Scar Management

After the skin has healed, silicone creates a protective, moisture-retaining layer over the scar. This helps maintain skin hydration and supports a more balanced environment for scar maturation.

Supports balanced scar activity

Silicone helps maintain a hydrated skin environment that may support more balanced collagen activity during scar maturation.

Forms a protective barrier

The silicone layer forms a protective film over the scar and helps reduce moisture loss and external friction.

Maintains skin hydration

The silicone layer helps retain moisture at the skin surface, supporting the skin barrier and natural scar maturation.

A Typical Scar-Care Routine

Silicone scar care can begin once the wound is fully closed and the skin has healed. It should not be applied to open, broken or irritated skin.

  1. Before you start Wait until the wound is fully closed and the skin has healed. Do not apply to open, broken or irritated skin.
  2. Applying the sheet Apply the silicone scar sheet to clean, dry skin and position it over the scar without stretching it. Follow the product instructions for recommended wear time and gradual introduction on sensitive skin.
  3. Applying the gel Apply a thin layer of silicone scar gel to clean, dry, fully healed skin and allow it to dry before covering the area with clothing or other products. Follow the product instructions for frequency of application.
  4. Keep up the routine Consistent use over time is important. Continue according to the instructions for use of the individual product.
